Thank you, Elon: Conservatives owe Musk a lot

Elon Musk’s clash with Donald Trump has shaken conservatives. Yet, his defence of liberty and tradition remains unmatched. From crushing woke censorship to championing free speech, Musk has redefined the fight against liberal lunacy. Conservatives, including Trump loyalists, must admit that his legacy endures, despite his split with the president.

Musk’s overhaul of X was a game-changer. In 2022, he spent $44 billion (€38 billion) to free the platform from leftist censors. By 2024, X’s 600 million users amplified the struggle against migration and gender ideology. His “free speech absolutism” gave traditionalists a voice, dismantling progressive gatekeepers who dominated debate for years.

His political shift was seismic. Once a Democrat backer, Musk gave $250 million (€213 million) to Trump’s 2024 campaign. His America Political Action Committee (PAC) swung key states. As head of government efficiency, he cut $190 billion (€162 billion) in federal waste, despite critics citing a $135 billion (€115 billion) cost. His stand against Trump’s $3.4 trillion (€2.9 billion) bill showed fiscal resolve.

Europe felt his impact. Supporting anti-immigration movements in 18 countries, Musk challenged Brussels’ open-border dogma. He backed Hungarian Prime Minister Orbán and the Alternative for Germany (AfD). He urged nations to protect their Christian heritage. In Greece, with 60,000 documented migrants landing in 2024, his critiques hit home.

Musk’s war on woke culture was fearless. His 2020 “Pronouns suck” tweet and rejection of transgender ideology defied liberal taboos. Clashes with globalists exposed their hypocrisy. Championing meritocracy and liberty, he became a traditionalist icon, even if he rejects the label.

The America Party, launched July 6, 2025, now targets two to three Senate seats and eight to 10 House districts, challenging the “uniparty”. Trump calls it “chaos”, X polls show 80 per cent approval — only time will tell if the richest man in the world will succeed in his ambition to obtain independent leverage over US politics.

Critics such as Trump’s first term advisor Steve Bannon may bash Musk and call him a “foreigner”, but conservatives owe him gratitude. He broke the woke chokehold and exposed globalist double standards. His fight for liberty crosses borders, urging nations to reclaim their roots. Musk’s rift with Trump doesn’t erase his impact.

So, thank you, Elon. Trump supporters stand firm, but Musk’s legacy — free speech, fiscal discipline, defiance of liberal insanity — commands respect. As Europe faces demographic substitution, illiberal policies and cultural collapse, his example inspires. And while he and the POTUS are no longer a dynamic duo, Musk’s mark is indelible. Keep fighting.
