German Peter Liese, one of the European Parliament’s longest serving and most respected members, comes to the Brussels Signal studio to talk with Justin Stares about East Germany’s elections, the EU Green Deal, the Ukraine war, the future of Europe and the EU Deforestation law. As well as his desire to see “bureaucratic” laws re-written, Mr Liese reminisces about his 30-year parliament mandate and the changes he has witnessed over that time.
