Mateusz Morawiecki (born 1968) is a Polish politician and economist who was Poland’s Prime Minister between 2017 and 2023 and one of the key figures of the Law and Justice party (PiS), the country’s leading Conservative force.

After losing the 2023 elections, Morawiecki left office and is currently the leader of the Conservatives in the European Parliament as chairman of the ECR (European Conservatives and Reformists) group, where he seeks to maintain the influence of the Polish Right in Brussels.
