UK Greens plan ‘housing and income’ for all illegal migrants

The UK Green Party leader Zack Polanski wants illegal migrants to be given free housing and paid an income with no requirement to work.

Voters in the Gorton and Denton constituency, named after two towns in east Manchester in northwest England, are due to elect a new member of parliament in a one-off by-election tomorrow.

The Greens are topping the polls and attempting to position themselves as the main opposition to Nigel Farage’s Reform UK.

The Green Party plans to let immigrants use the National Health Service (NHS) for free the moment they enter Britain, and they will be allowed to work “with no restrictions” under plans for “a world without borders”.

Internal policy documents obtained by the Daily Mail newspaper reveal that the Greens intend to end immigration detention and offer full amnesty to illegal migrants in the UK, even if their asylum claims are denied.

The document asserts that “migration is not a criminal offence under any circumstances”.

This comes after the party’s proposals to legalise recreational drugs, including crack cocaine and heroin.

Regarding immigration, it aims “to create a system that treats all migrants as citizens-in-waiting and encourages them to settle and integrate into their new communities”.

Last night, the Conservative Party, Reform UK and the ruling Labour Party slammed the Greens’ “open border” plans as “financially reckless and dangerous”.

But the Greens defended the policies, claiming they have been “popular” during their Gorton and Denton election campaign.

Under them, all illegal migrants would receive a wage of about £370 (€425) a month, with no requirement to work or seek employment.

Migrant families would be housed in single homes while single men would get individual rooms in shared properties or a private home if they identify as LGBTQIA+ .

Polls indicate a close race in Gorton and Denton tomorrow, with Green Party candidate Hannah Spencer last night accusing her Labour rival of using “racist dog-whistles”.
