The nation at war: There will be Belfasts across Europe, too

The images of riots in the United Kingdom are not a passing nuisance. They are a warning in flames. For decades, detached political elites have imposed a radical demographic and cultural transformation across Europe under the banner of progressivism. This has targeted the very core of our civilisation. Traditional values, nuclear family, Christian faith: They are relentlessly undermined. Indigenous populations are forced to watch the destruction of their homelands. With millions of new poor and nobody safe anymore, violent reaction is to be expected.

Critically, the mechanics of this collapse are economic. Reliance on mass, low-wage immigration has become a narcotic for the economic system, suppressing wages and destroying the purchasing power of the domestic working class. This abundance of cheap labour is also killing the incentive for technological innovation, paralysing the development of automation and advanced robotics that should define a modern European economy. Instead of a high-tech future, Europe is adopting a pre-modern labour structure. At the same time, the domestic population is pushed out of the housing market as real estate is swallowed, neighbourhood by neighbourhood, by “investors” and subsidised accommodation for newcomers.

And then we have the total evaporation of public safety. The fundamental duty of the state – to secure its borders and protect its citizens – has been entirely abandoned. European women now face an unprecedented environment of threat, where public spaces have been transformed into danger zones. When workers and families can no longer walk their own streets in safety, when state authorities are deployed not to punish criminals but to police those who complain, the state ceases to be a protector. It becomes an enemy.

What we are witnessing is the breach of the social contract. According to the timeless principles of European political thought, a state derives its legitimacy entirely from its ability to safeguard its people. When the state actively facilitates the destruction of a nation’s identity, prosperity and security, it enters into a state of war with its own people. It would be nice for legal and institutional means to work, but the political will of the majority is systematically neutralised through electoral manipulation, demographic alteration and censorship.

To expect a silenced, oppressed majority to endure this permanent purge without any dynamic reaction is an act of delusion. When a population realises that its democratic leverage has been cancelled, the resort to irregular resistance becomes a predictable historical consequence. Therefore, the current unrest in the British Isles will most probably prove to be the first tremor of a larger tectonic shake.

Of course, the political class in Brussels and other Continental capitals continues to look at the latest events with a mixture of arrogance and denial, dismissing genuine civilisational agony as mere criminality. They fail to see that the same fuel that set half the country on fire across the English Channel, is waiting for a spark in Europe. The same decay, the same wage suppression, the same housing crisis, the same profound insecurity and the same cultural erasure affects France, Germany, the Low Countries, Scandinavia and the South.

If the wildfire stops at the coast, it will be nothing less than a miracle. The structural failures that led to such shocking unrest in Belfast, Scotland and England are fully present across the Continent. Europe too is bound to discover that you cannot burn down the foundations of a civilisation and expect people to be fine with it. Once the social contract has been broken by the elites, the explosion that follows is simply the outburst of the nation reclaiming its right to exist.
