We’re bringing you a better Brussels Signal, and asking you for your support

2 minutes read

Since launching Brussels Signal in 2023, our ambition has been clear: to challenge the status quo in news coverage of Europe by offering an independent, English-language publication that covers the stories and people, debates and decisions that you won’t find elsewhere.

Over the past two years, we have established a growing audience across Europe and beyond, built a newsroom and studio producing distinctive journalism, and demonstrated that there is strong demand for reporting that challenges the consensus and broadens the conversation.

We’re thrilled to move on to the next step.

Tuesday 16th June 2026, marks an important milestone. We are launching a completely redesigned website and appealing to you, our loyal readers, for your support, offering our first premium subscription offering. Both changes are designed to strengthen the long-term future of Brussels Signal and improve the experience for our readers. The news media industry is changing rapidly. The strongest publications are those that listen and build direct relationships with their readers. That’s why we’re bringing you this redesign and our premium subscription offers.

The new website is faster, easier to navigate and tailored to the way you consume news. More importantly, it creates the foundation for the next stage of our growth: deeper reader engagement, stronger community building and a more direct relationship with our audience.

At the same time, we are introducing premium content because sustainable journalism requires sustainable funding. We want to invest in more original reporting, expand our network of correspondents, produce more exclusive analysis and increase our coverage of the issues that matter most to our readers. That investment can only come from building a stronger reader-supported business.

Much of our daily news and journalism content will remain freely accessible to our readers because we believe our independent reporting should continue to reach the widest possible audience. For readers who want deeper analysis, exclusive reporting and greater insight into Europe’s political and policy landscape, our premium offering will provide significantly more value.

This is not simply a website redesign or a new subscription product. It is the beginning of the next phase of Brussels Signal: building a stronger, more sustainable, independent and more influential European news outlet.

Thank you for reading – and watching – Brussels Signal, and if you’ve enjoyed the unique coverage we deliver, support us!
