Spain facing new chapter in centuries-long battle over women’s face coverings

Spain may be the next country to prohibit the public use of the burqa and the niqab face coverings worn by some Muslim women and girls.  Several initiatives are underway in the country to stop the wearing in public of the garments that for some Muslim women are part of religious observance.
